Captique

What is Captique? Captique is a sterile, clear, colorless dermal filler gel made of chemically modified hyaluronic acid, and is an alternative to Juvederm and Restalyne. As with Juvederm, Restalyne and Perlane (all hyaluronic acid gel fillers), the gel is injected with a very fine needle to enhance lip shape and augment lip size. Results are predictable and reliable.

How does Captique work and what are the advantages? It immediately lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated, creating a plump and pouty look. No skin test is required and there is no downtime. Duration of results is shorter than other temporary injectables, so this is a good option for first time patients who do not want longer lasting results.

Are Captique results instantaneous? The result is immediate and produces a natural and sculpted enhancement. You can expect to experience some swelling after the procedure, so your lips should be larger than the desired end result. Swelling will resolve within two to three days and lips will retain a full look.

Do I need more than one Captique treatment? Results can generally be obtained with one treatment, however, touch up treatments may be desired to further enhance the look.

How long can I expect Captique results to last? Treatment results differ for each person, however, you can expect results to last from 1 to 2 months.

What are some of the possible Captique side effects? There are not reported allergic reactions. The most common side effects with any injection include possible bleeding, and tenderness, redness, or swelling. These side effects last, on average, 2 to 3 days.
